Consensus 2018 Conference Roundup and Key Takeaways

Chris Burgess · May 15, 2018 ·

This week in New York, the largest commercial blockchain conference, Consensus, is taking place. It’s the 4th annual event put on by CoinDesk.

Over 8,500 people attended the event, with various streams covering all aspects of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.

Luckily for those that couldn’t make it, the event was made available to watch via live stream, and for those interested I’m in the process of pulling together a list of some of the highlights and key takeaways.

The official website can be found here:

https://www.coindesk.com/events/consensus-2018/

Out of the interest, the Consensus 2017 videos are available (https://www.coindesk.com/events/consensus-2017/video/day1/), and still worth checking out if you haven’t watched them. I’m expecting the 2018 videos will also be made available after the event. I’ll update this page when/if that happens.

Twitter

As far as Twitter goes, the official CoinDesk account covered the event quite well, you can grab many of the key quotes from their feed, but I’ve listed a few of the main hashtags:
